I started to become a photographer as a kid. I took pictures on hikes and at the zoo. My camera was a Kodak Instamatic. When I was 14, I got my first SLR. It was an Exakta VX1000. I took landscapes near my hometown. I moved to a Pentax ME and took it with me on trips in Austria. In 1990 I bought a Nikon F801 and start to travel: Short visits of major-cities near Austria like Budapest, Berlin, Praque, Paris and spent my holidays in: Scotland 1991, Ireland 1992, Norway/Sweden 1993, Scotland 1994, Ireland 1996, Danmark 1997, Portugal 1998, Ireland 1999, Tunesia 1999, Madeira 2000, Tuscany / Italy 2000, Canada 2001, Scotland 2002, Santorini / Greece 2003, Lago di Garda / Italy 2004, Ireland 2004, Venice 2004, Danmark 2005, Majorca / Spain 2005, Northern Spain 2006, Ireland 2007, ... I got a Contax T2 to use it beside my Nikon and a Nikon F100 to replace my F801. I took a lot of photographs but mainly on vacations. That changed with my first digital camera. It was a Nikon Coolpix 950. Since that photography became my favourite waste of time. I concentrate on nature photography and in particular and birdphotography and close ups. In January 2002 I got a used Nikon D1 and switched to digital completely. Recently I started to do more portraits.
