April 2007

In April we managed to get away from our daily jobs and our house building action and spent a weekend at the Neudiedlersee NP. The weather was great and we saw a lot of birds. In the morning we stood up before sunset and went shooting before breakfast. The light was great and at my favourite spot were more white egrets I have ever seen together. I was able to put 13 of them in one frame in the early morning light. It was special. I was also able to take some great shots of a bittern and some close ups of white egrets but desided to go for this one because I don´t think that such a massive accumulation happens very often, at least here in Austria.
