April 2010

It took me a while to update my website. Today is the 7th of August 2010!

I say it again. This entry comes very late. Reason: ( You may guess it ) I was extremely busy. Work, work, work. I guess I have to find a way to break out more often.

Sound familiar? Beside the date this is exactly what I wrote 3 months ago.

What keeps me so busy? My job means more travelling than ever before. My biking needs some time too. And last but nor least there are family and friends. Since we moved to the country side we are a little farther away from our friends in Vienna but the good thing is that they are coming to us to break out of the city often. But we also have a lot not so mobile friends. They don´t have a car. Which must sound very strange for people in the US is pretty common if you live in Vienna. For us it´s strange that a lot of the people in the US have no passports.

The guy in the image above is a colleague of my wife. He is a genius architect. Old school. He can draw a whole building on a napkin. As my wife worked with him a lot she has learned enough to design our house by herself. So we owe him the design of our house at least to some extend ( have a look at the POM May 2009 ). He is a very quiet person. One of the greatest music lovers with a wonderful stereo and one of the largest collection of classical music I know. He doesn´t like to be photographed but I told hime that there is no way! Every friend that visits us will be photographed. Usually I take to pictures indoors but this time I took them under the umbrella on the patio. I took only 9 images in total and asked him to look serious ( genius style ) but he was too relaxed that day and smiled a lot. I took this one because it´s the one that reflects his personality best.

By the way. He liked our house. The first time when my wife showed him her first draft of our house he said it´s very nice, grabbed for a piece of transparent paper and started to change the plan. This time h e didn´t start to draw a different draft on a piece of paper immediately. So he must like it. Or he realised that now it´s to late for changes.
