What´s up? This image shows my seven year old nephew Levi. If you think "How the hell did he get a seven year old boy posing for a portrait?" I have to dissapoint you: There is nothing more "uncool" for a boy than being photographed. Gone are the times were he asked me to took I picture just to watch his portrait on the screen of my digicam a few seconds later. Now I have to be really fast. So how did I manage to got this great "proud young boy" - portrait with a small Ixus 700 digicam? The answer is simple: luck! Luck is still the most important factor when it comes to portraiture. Usually a compact digital camera isn´t the best tool to get this kind of job done but at least it saves the images fast enough to give you a second chance.

These are the images I took right before I got the one above:

These are very nice images too but the hardly would impress anyone beside his mum and grandmum so I was lucky the my small camera has given me the chance to try it again before he turned away and continued to play in the pool.
