We finally moved to the country side! After a very busy year our new home is almost complete. We left Vienna to live in a village in the Viennese Forest. It was the weekend before my 39th birthday when we packed all our belongings in cardbord boxes and hauled all the stuff in our new house. I never realised how much stuff we have. I don´t talk about jewels or something luxury I talk about books, records, CDs and DVDs. I talk about magazins we can not give away. I also talk about a lot of things we haven´t used the last couple of years like slepping bags or even worse about clothes that we haven´t worn since years. Of course we were unable to trow it away in all that stress so we took it with us. This is why we need a lot of furniture now to hide all the stuff we never use and never will use again. Ikea becomes our weekend companion and I finally became a sort of "Heimwerker"-King. A very busy time still which leaves not a lot of time for photography. The image above was taken on January 1st. It was taken during a short walk in the snow. It proves that the 24-105L can make a very fine portraits lens if used with care. I´m still amazed with the quality I get from my Canon 5D and especially how versatile it is if paired with the 24-105L. The ultimate combo for almost everthing. setting for the main shot: A - Mode, 1/60s@f5.6, 100ASA
And here is an image of the sky at is was on our first evening! |
