It´s great to have friends but sometimes they really can put some kind of pressure on you. In my case it´s the mother of this lovely little girl. Every time we meet she tells me that she looks at my website from time to time to find new images of their kids. Last time she told me that she was really dissapointed to see a frog or a month instead of her beautiful children. Fine. As you can see - no man can withstand the constant pressure of a woman. Here it is: an image of Leonie ( the third time she is a picture of the month ) and even more: here is an image of her twin brother Valentin as well:
Hope you are satisfied! ;-) The shots were taken with one of my favourite lenses for portraiture: the NikonAIS 2.8/45P. This is really a wonderful lens which does it´s magic in very single image. Colors, contrast and especially the transition from the sharp parts of the image to the nicely soft blurred background are second to none. I´m still not happy with the color balance in the first image but because of my limited knowledge in PS I have to live with till I improve in post processing. The light was very challeging: it was a mix of daylight that comes from the door and artifical light from the lamps of the restaurant. I´m sure that my little Canon Ixus 700 would have handled the same situation with easy. It is still a miracle to me that D-SLRs can´t do what simple point and shot cameras can do - to get white balance right. settings: A-Mode, 1/50s, -0.7 exp., 400 ASA, WB: cloudy but corrected in Capture, D-light |
