March 2007: Finally we got some snow! After a warm and wet winter it started to snow at the end of March. The good thing is that the snow didn´t last long because we started to build our house. This picture was taken on Sunday before the dredgers arrive Monday. We just wanted to make sure that we are the ones to break the ground.

We bought this little piece of land almost 4 years ago ( see POM June 2003 ) and after some years of drawing plans and saving money we started to build our house. On one hand our garden will never be the same on the other hand it finally will become a garden. We think that we will finish it till the end of the year and will have our first christmas out there.

The image was taken with my 12-24DX on it´s widest settings to create a sense of space and that special "round earth" - look. The SB800 flash light helps to control the contrast to get a balanced shot even in this strong backlight situation.
