First I didn´t want to take it as a picture of the month because it was "just" another picture of a baby but it was the best image I have taken in August. So it has to be the picture of the month. If close friends got a baby and one of your greatest hobbies is photography you simply have to take some pictures when you visit them. And maybe I should quit my job and work as a baby and pet photographer in the future. ;-)

In this pictures the colors and contrast are just great: The bright white and pink against the black shirt looks very fine and gives the picture that special look.

This picture wasn´t easy to take because the lightlevel in the hospital was really low. It was a cloudy afternoon and I had just the light that came from the window. I ended with a 1/10s at 158mm with the lens wide open. Thanks to VR I got the image. I used Neatimage to reduce the noise caused by the ISO-setting and reduced the colorsaturation in photoshop - everything else is unchanged.

The picture shows two days old Lara held by her father.
