August 2004

August was a quiet month regarding photography. Mainly because I was very busy and had a lot of work with my Ireland images too. Friends visited us in Vienna for two days and I took 10 images of their one year old son in our kitchen. I used my favourite lens to capture the images. It´s VR - feature ( vibration reduction ) and it´s Bokeh still amazes me. I used only the light the came in from the window and get 1/20s with the lens wide open. Thanks to VR the shot is as sharp as it gets and the wide aperture works wonders to blurr the background. Taking images with this lens is just too simple. I used Capture to get WB right with the CLICK WHITE option which is also like a miracle to me. Even with my old D1 skintones just look right. Photography was never so simple and such a joy as with a D-SLR.

settings: A-Mode, 1/20s @ f2.8, VR on, WB: cloudy -3 but corrected in Capture with Click white
