12°Celsius below and new snow - perfect to go out and go cross country skiing. The picture was taken on the 8th December in Styria/Austria. We had a great winter so far with a lot of snow and cold weather in the mountains. Skiing on such a bright and sunny wintersday is wonderful.

The picture was taken with the Olympus E-100RS. Be careful when taking pictures in the winter. The snow fool the camera meter and you will get underexposed pictures if you don´t compensate at least +1 to +2 stops. You have to be careful with digital cameras too. You have to avoid that the bright parts of the picture burn out. If this happens the information is lost and can´t be restored in computer. When shooting digital it is better to slightly underexpose the picture and than fix it in photoshop, because it is easier to control there.
