I took a lot of images during my 3 weeks vacation ( as I shot NEF I nearly ran out of memory on my 10GByte Mindstore ) in Ireland this year and it wasn´t easy for me to choose the image I like to most. So I have chosen the most colorful one to be the picture of the month for July 2004. This image was taken late in the evening. It was cold and windy but it was worth to wait for the right light. I like how the bold and bright colors stand out from the dark clouds over the mountains in the background. I discovered that this image looks rather unimpressive on TFT-screens but it really pops out on a CRT. And no I didn´t overexpose the image - I just pushed the brightness in Capture and blow the whites because I think it makes the image better. This is just how I recall the scene. I took a panorama on the tripod that contains 28 images ( verticals of course ) I can´t display it on the web but maybe I will do a very special print from this 60+Megapixel image. A lot of other images from Ireland, Ireland 2004 and the Skelligs can be found HERE. settings: A-Mode, 1/1320s@f8 -0.5 and 200ASA, handheld, WB: cloudy-3 |
