Olympus E100RS again. Like many other photo enthusiasts I had a problem to carry my cameragear with me when I was in the mountains. My photobackpack is far too heavy to climb up with it for hours. A rigid tripod does not make sense their either. Solution: SLR with 28-105 Zoom or most of the time my Contax T2. A small point and shot camera with a 38mm lens. Not the perfect way to get impressive pictures in the mountains. With the E100RS this problem is solved. Now I can go hiking with very little equipment and have a wide 38 - 380mm range available all of the time. And as the lens has an image stabilizer it is possible to get sharp pictures even with 380mm without using a tripod. This picture was made on the second of two hikes on the Rax ( 2000m / 1.5 hours outside of Vienna ). It was the 11th of november and there was -1 Celsius on Top. On our way up we crossed wildlife which can be seen under animals/wildlife/. |
