In October I saw a Olympus E-100RS camera in a store for $500 ( it was $1700 when it came out ). This is a high speed camera digicam where everthing is optimized to perform extremly fast. It is able to take 15frames/sec with full resolution ( 1.5 Megapixel ) and has a 1/10.000sec shutter speed. Best thing is that while the camera is saving a picture on the flashcard you still can take pictures! As you can see I bought it. This picture I took in the zoo. I usualy go there to test new equipment. I was impressed by the speed of the penguins. They fly under water. Camera settings: 400ASA, lens wide open at 2.8 and manual focus. With 7.5frames/sec I follow the peguins. This was the best frame out of 20. Although not complety sharp and with myself and a window in upper part of the the frame I like this picture. It shows how these animals can perform under water. |
