I really like dramatic skies. Sometimes if you are very lucky you are in a beautiful landscape when the sky is full of clouds and color - sometimes you don´t. If the sky or even a part of the sky looks great but the surroundings not there is only one option - forget about the rest and isolate the part you like the most.

What do you need: A very long lens. In this case it was 380mm. If you click here you can see the hole scenery from the same viewpoint with 38mm.

I took the picture at about 8 am right after I stood up. While I was taken the pictures I was standing on the balcony of a flat in Passau ( small German town close to Austria ) wearing pyjamas. It was a stormy autumn morning - the best conditions to get a great sky.

Picture was taken with Olympus E100RS with whitebalance set on sunny and exposure compensation set to -1.0.
