Why this image? Because like a child I´m always amazed when I see the first snow of the year. This year it came very early ( the picture was taken on the 24th of October ). It snowed in the night and in the morning everthing was white - even in Vienna ( which caused some traffic jams of course ).

The second reason why I used this snapshot is because I took only 13 images in October. This is one of them. I took pictures till the battery went out ( it was nearly empty ). I took no images with my Nikon D1 because it is defective. I hope it is only a small thing to repair and won´t cost too much.

The picture shows our garden and my better half setting up the bird feeder.
